[Saleem Khan; Kohat]
Respected Hakeem Sahab; Assalam-0-Alaikum! I have worked in the hospital of Middle East and have an experience of 25 years. Burnt patients were treated in the bath of salt and removing their wounds by salted water. 60 % of the patients get well. All the apparatus like burnol, salt water and warm water are available there. I and my wife are diabetic patients and take insulin twice a day. In this disease, the feet sense burning feeling. I used to soak my feet in warm salted water. My wife whereas cleaned her feet with soap; she did not believe in it. Once due to shoe-bite, a wound developed on her toe. Her toes turned black and her foot swelled. After one week we visited Fauji Foundation Hospital in Rawalpindi. Doctors commented after examining that the wound is 1.5 months old whereas it was only 8 days old. After cleaning and treating it for 6 days, they slashed half tows and asked to visit again in a week and to bandage fresh daily. The next day, on opening the wound, we found it smelly and full of pus. When we went to the hospital, the mouth of the wound was open. The doctors advised to cut it above the heel; we refused and went to a private hospital in Peshawar. There we met the cancer specialist who said that the foot should not have been cut. He used to treat with cold water and used the machine for removing the wastage. My wife did not like the cold water treatment as it was winter. Therefore, we left that hospital as well. I am a regular reader of Ubqari. In those days, I came across an article by Dr. Rahat Shafee on page 7 of June 2009 edition which was titled as Salt; food, medicine and cure ‘Namak; ghiza, dawa aur shifa.’ Reading this made me recalled that Oh! This is how we treated the burnt patients in Middle-East but making them sit in salt water and treating them. So we started the treatment at home and that wound was filled by Allah’s grace. I wish they hadn’t cut her foot.
So it is recommended for diabetic patients to boil a bucket of water and add two spoons of salt and soak your feet in it. Clean your feet softly and dress it with piodene bandages. Sugar patients can replace the salt with alum, as it is seen that alum is speedy for cleaning and healing than salt. Requirement: 6-ayat-e-shifa, 21 times for 11 days to be recited, blown on water and given to the patient to drink.
The 6 Quranic verses of healing (ayat-e-shifa) are mentioned below:
وَیَشْفِ صُدُوْرَ قَوْمٍ مُّؤْمِنِیْنَ{توبہ ۱۴}
وَشِفَآءٌ لِّمَا فِی الصُّدُوْرِ { یونس۵۷}
فِیْہِ شِفَآءٌ لِّلنَّاسِ {سورۃنحل ۶۹}
وَنُنَزِّلُ مِنَ الْقُرْاٰنِ مَا ہُوَ شِفَآءٌ وَّ رَحْمَۃٌ لِّلْمُؤْمِنِیْنَ{بنی اسرائیل ۸۲}
وَ اِذَا مَرِضْتُ فَہُوَ یَشْفِیْنِ{ الشعراء، ۸۰}
قُلْ ہُوَ لِلَّذِیْنَ اٰمَنُوْا ہُدًی وَّ شِفَآءٌ{ حم ۴۴}
PRICELESS PRESCRIPTIONS FOR COUGH
[Zakia Iqtidar; Bahawalnagar]
Cough is a horrible disease as not only the patient suffers but people around too. There is no weather for cough and time and when it starts. The patient is forced to skip the prayers as well.
